Head of Software & Engineering Location: Nottingham Salary & Benefits: to £75,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. pension, holidays, flexible working including remote days, etc Company: Harvey Nash are exclusively representing an innovative tech house based in Nottingham who offer a range of market leading solutions in both the B2B and B2C market globally. They are now looking for a Head of Software & Engineering who will lead and manage their growing UK based tech team. This team is made up right now of circa 30 heads and they're looking to grow when this hire steps through the door. Role: In this role you'll lead a dynamic set of technologists who are responsible for the on-going development, innovation, implementation, testing and continued support of a variety of SaaS applications, all built entirely in house using the latest technology. One of the key objectives alongside the day to day will be to drive the technology and product roadmap, develop it and follow it, but also ensuring the business has a clear vision around execution and 'the how'. The tech setup is .NET fully hosted in the cloud with a number of added on frameworks, like Angular, the expectation is around continual improvement so bringing ideas to the table is encouraged. The Person: A confident and technical leader (both on people and the plan), the role isn't hands-on from a cutting code perspective but will be incredibly close to the teams they are leading. We need a track record of successful application and solution/product delivery and someone who understands 'how it all hangs together' and how improvements can be made to the tech and the processes in the long run.
