Deputy Head of Procurement We are pleased to be inviting applications for a dynamic individual to join our team to lead and help shape the future of Procurement Services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and across our wider care community. NUH requires a highly skilled, qualified and experienced individual to focus on improving and transforming our procurement teams with effective leadership, strong interpersonal and communications skills with a calm, professional and supportive approach. The Service NUH is one of the largest hospital organisations in the UK. The Trust is based in Nottingham and provides care to over 2.5million residents in the surrounding communities; through 16,700 staff, 90 wards and 1,700 beds. NUH Procurement has a strong reputation and is responsible for influencing approximately 160 million of Trust non-pay expenditure through a range of activities. The team is proud of its excellent clinical engagement to support services and departments across the organisation to deliver circa 7 million in savings benefits annually. The Role Bringing with you a high level of business acumen, you will help Procurement at NUH to ensure a high quality and professional purchasing and supplies service to the Trust is delivered at all times. Through this, you will ensure that the service supports Trust Divisions and departments to help meet financial targets and cost improvement savings plans. You will be a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply with significant knowledge of procurement practices and principles and have experience in an operational management role in a procurement / contracting environment. You will be able to lead and influence others with a proven track record in leading successful transformational change programmes in a complex organisation. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to rapidly build credible relationships with our internal and external healthcare partners at all levels to ensure customer and service needs are met to a high standard at all times. You will be able to connect highly complex and multiple programmes of work through aligned planning, prioritising and resourcing to ensure efficiencies are met without compromising quality of service to our patients, staff and healthcare partners.
