Overview
Our client is undergoing a large transformation programme where they will be developing the applications and databases that integrate and connect their core systems. These applications are business critical and enable a large volume of data to be transferred and communicated between these core systems. If these systems fail it has a significant impact on all core systems which are at the heart of the clients operation. Our client is looking to recruit two developers to join the system development and support team. The role will be broken down into a mixture of supporting the older applications, which are written in Access, Excel, VBA, managing change requests to ensure that these applications are working effectively but also developing new applications using newer tech. This role would suit either a developer who is looking for a more varied role or someone who has worked with older technology and is keen on developing their skills using the latest technology. Skills required: -Commercial experience using Access, Excel, VBA -Strong communication skills to interact with the business -Enjoys working in a continuous improvement environment -Knowledge of any of the following: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, .Net, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQLServer etc.
