Overview
A company operating within the leisure and tourism industry requires a Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is an exciting time to be joining a growing and flourishing organisation. Based in the Central London head office, you'll be part of a medium sized finance team with a fantastic, social, outgoing culture. Role Responsibilities - Provide direction to Accounting team of 2 (in addition to additional temp resources when required). Attract, retain, motivate, coach & develop team members for high performance. Create an environment which inspires and maintain a highly engaged team able to take on new regions Producing monthly management reporting accurately and on time, as well as any ad hoc reporting that is required by the cities and Headquarters. Within these month end duties includes posting month end journals, review and reconcile key account lines Identify and improve internal processes and procedures ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented & maintained. Challenge existing processes and make recommendations driving continuous efficiency and improvements Ensure that all tax matters are handled in time, calculating and paying all tax matters in all countries of operations Undertaking decision-support analysis to facilitate various business decisions Assisting in liaison with external accountants on matters relating to local regulations Reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis for a review with the CFO Preparation for annual statutory audit and support external accountants Candidate Requirements - Qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) accountant Previous managerial experience would be beneficial Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Netsuite experience preferable however not essential Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience in commerce ideally in start-up subsidiaries or a large group Ability to present and challenge to key stakeholders
