Overview
Systems Test Engineer to £38k Commutable from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. Company develops test and measurement kit for the Telecomms market. They now need an additional Systems Test Engineer with Software and some hardware test skills to join their RD department Essential Skills and Qualifications: 1 Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent 2 manual and automated tests 3 Test automation using C#, TCL or Python 4 Defect reporting methods Bugzilla or JIRA or similar 5 Packet based timing and networking, OSI model, packet structures and protocols such as IPV4, IPV6, VLAN, etc. 6 An understanding of digital signals and clocks 7 An understanding of telecoms signals and timing issues such as Wander and Jitter 8 ITU-T or IEEE Standards or experience using any standards that specify test conditions and criteria for a specific sector 9.
