Overview
A leading Bank Based in London are now looking to hire a Network Engineer (CCIE) for a 12 month PAYE contract paying £595/day Umbrella. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Specifically, the network specialist will perform the following duties, in conjunction with colleagues in Paris: Provide support for the banks routing using standard routing protocols (OSPF / BGP) Working with programme management, assist in gathering the technical requirements for network projects Develop a vision for the evolution of the network in line with the business' vision and work with project management to deliver Act as the primary network resource for projects delivered in London Support firewall infrastructures in Global Markets sites and co-location facilities (Checkpoint / FortiGate) Provide top level expertise on network devices (Cisco / Arista) Own the regular maintenance plan for London infra Weekend work Participation in the on-call rota REPORTING & ACCOUNTABILITY The Network Specialist will report to the Head of UK Networks DUTY ARRANGEMENT The role will be based in the London offices, in Central London and work a professional day. Occasional international travel to Paris Head Office may be required. Approved Person Registration Not Applicable Specialist Training Required CCIE Competencies Required: Professional attitude, profile and impact Determined and enthusiastic Driven and not afraid to challenge the status quo or ask questions Ability to work under pressure Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Tenacious Organised and effective at multitasking Skills & Knowledge Requirements At least 8-10 years' experience of Network engineering in a financial environment IT Security Strong exposure to low latency technology Market connectivity Any other relevant information Fluent in English French would be a huge advantage.
