Overview
I am currently partnering with an Asset Management business offering services to a large and diverse client base. Their Asset Management activities focus on Equities, Derivatives and Multi-Asset Solutions serving a global client base of institutional clients. Their Finance function is seeking to bring on a qualified accountant to join the team as a Finance Manager. As the business grows and demand on the finance function increases, the finance function need a dedicated person to ensure the appropriate operation of controls and assist in analysis. This role is considered a key hire in the ongoing development plans of the Finance function. Key responsibilities: Supervise month end close of subsidiaries including review of journals Preparation of monthly Group management pack for the board Review of monthly subsidiary balance sheet reconciliations Analytical review of movements in income statement accounts Review of monthly subsidiary legal entity management packs Review of annual subsidiary financial statements Working closely with FP&A team to produce monthly cost reporting to the business Manage four direct reports Manage accounts payable workflow Assist with creating/improving financial reporting suite Qualification and experience: Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA (ACA preferred) Financial service industry background preferred Understanding of IFRS as well as the principles of UK regulatory reporting. Experience of accounting systems, preferable SUN, including report writing Highly proficient Microsoft Office user Analytical Skills Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills and aptitude for Excel work Knowledge of writing VBA preferable Experience using Power BI preferable
