Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist - Mental Health Hospital £46,000 to £48,000 (plus benefits) South West Berkshire Compass Associates are working closely with a highly reputable private healthcare organisation to find a new Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist for their hospital in South West Berkshire. Our valued client is seeking someone to join their MDT at a large low-to-medium secure hospital for male adults diagnosed with ASD and varying mental health needs. Deemed 'Good' in their last CQC inspection, our client is looking for a passionate and organised professional who will uphold the organisation's values and contribute to the excellent service offered by the existing team. The Role Within this role you will be expected to support service-users with complex needs and take responsibility for the growth and development of a specialised 14-bed low secure service for male adults with ASD. You'll require exceptional skills and competence in assessing and formulating, as well as the necessary skills to supervise staff within the department, including Assistant Psychologists. You will be required to contribute to the development and review of care plans and liaise with external professionals to assist with patients' care pathways. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of two years' experience working with clients diagnosed with complex needs. You must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and be able to contribute to the development and growth of the hospital service. You will need a valid HCPC registration and, preferably, membership to the BPS. The Criteria A Doctorate in Clinical or Forensic Psychology is essential. Valid HCPC registration and BPS membership. Comprehensive understanding and up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Experience using CBT skills to address varying clinical/forensic issues. Minimum two years' experience working with clients diagnosed with complex needs. Experience working with patients diagnosed with ASD and/or forensic mental health. The Location The hospital in which this role is based is deemed commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Newbury, Thatcham, Bracknell, Slough and Maidenhead.
