Overview
CFO Dartmouth are partnering with a B2B Tech start-up who have recently secured Series C funding from leading European Venture Capital investors. This round is pivotal in supporting the business through further international expansion and supporting broader product development to optimise key revenue generation through their 'land and expand' model. The business are seeking a Finance leader with a comprehensive strategic skillset, entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach. Acting as a key partner to the CEO and with an emphasis on implementing a culture of forward thinking finance by developing the finance team and supporting other department heads, there is a significant opportunity here for someone to see the impact of their work quickly and be rewarded through longer term financial incentives. Responsibilities: Take ownership overall business projects from a financial perspective, including implementing controls and procedures. Act as a key member of board meetings, able to influence investors and board members through decision making Work in partnership with the CEO and COO in developing and informing business strategy Responsible for setting up all overseas subsidiaries, working with the external advisors to ensure compliance and developing financial controls and procedures are in place. Developing rolling cashflow models and revenue recognition models Lead for the implementation of the new finance system Play a pivotal role in further fundraising efforts including analysis, due diligence, board packs and presentations. Oversee 3 finance staff, future recruitment and development of overseas finance staff Leading the team through preparation of year end group audit files and liaising with the company’s auditors. Manage and develop the Group 5-year forecast and act a key business partnerwith all department heads to review performance Oversight of the the quarter end management reports Ownership over group re-forecast and group budget to update 5-year plan and full year forecasts Ownership over the banking relationships and company secretarial responsibilities The candidate: Chartered Accountant (Preferably ACA or equivalent) with relevant PQE in start-up or scale up environment, preferably with international exposure Experience leading funding rounds with external investors Experience leading company audits Experience supporting businesses through international expansion Advanced excel skills with financial modelling experience Experience developing long term strategic plans Experience with managing external investor relations
