CFO | Hyper Growth Tech Start-Up (Post Series B) | London Harmonic Finance are proud to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for one of Europe's most exciting post Series B Tech Start-Ups. They have won multiple awards and are led by a successful serial entrepreneur with high profile exits already to his name in the VC Tech world. Following an incredible period of growth, with a unique offering disrupting the market, this is set to be the most successful venture to date. Backed by a selection of Europe's leading VC funds they have around 200 employees based in 3 international locations. Uniquely the business is already profitable but following a recent multi-million-pound VC raise they are seeking to invest heavily in scaling the business internationally. Based out of a typical 'East London start-up office' they have recently taken new space in the building giving them room to grow in the start-up hub that is Shoreditch. They have incredibly smart people at all levels throughout the business. This is a very fast-paced environment, but they have done a fantastic job of encouraging work-life balance and diversity. The role: This is an opportunity to join the business as the first CFO managing an exceptional Head of Finance and team beneath that. The core focus of the role is to shape the strategic direction of the business, lead them through fundraises of increasing magnitude and to oversee the implementation of robust financial controls in what is an FCA regulated Tech scale-up. There is a currently a lack of nous around the commercial financial analysis and KPI metrics and the financial input into the board pack for investors. The CFO will be key to developing the quality of Investor Relations as the business scales. Responsibilities: Drive commercial performance across the business Provide strategic direction to the CEO and Leadership teams Implement new processes around KPI analytics, forecasting and planning (FP&A) Face off to Venture Capital Investors Lead the business through major future fundraises Business Partner with multiple teams across the business holding them accountable and providing decision support Ad Projects and potential M&A work Manage a Head of Finance to ensure robust controls and processes to ensure there is a platform for growth (the business has a lending element to it and therefore requires processes and policies that are expected in an FCA regulated environment) Support the build out of a Finance team What we need to see (Essential): Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA Experience of working within at least one Series A-C scale-up or start-up (any industry) A real enthusiasm for commercial financial analysis and an ability to develop KPI dashboards. Strong communication skills, including the ability and confidence to present to prospective investors. What we'd like to see (Non-Essential): Experience in an FCA regulated environment Clear ownership of investor Relations and fundraising Wider Operational exposure as is often the case in start-ups While this is not a pure Fintech business some experience in the sector or in a lending business is preferred Location: Shoreditch Salary: £110,000 - £135,000 share options Please get in touch at or give me a call on .
