Overview
Part - time Finance Manager needed at K&H Design Katie Glaister and Henry Miller-Robinson, co-directors of K&H Design Ltd, are looking for a Finance Manager to start working at their growing design studio immediately. We are an interior design and decorative company based in Parsons Green currently with a busy team of 10. Our book-keeping is currently outsourced to our accountants, but we are looking to bring this back in house in June 2020. In the meantime, we have an urgent requirement for a part-time Finance Manager. Your tasks will include but will not be restricted to: Working with the designers to make all payments on behalf our clients for the purchase of all FF&E items. Reconciliation of the client account. Working with the directors to manage staff time sheets (in Excel) and report monthly. Proceed to raise sales invoices. Analyse and report on time and fee, using our tailored excel spreadsheets. Analyse time spent by each designer per month, using our tailored excel spreadsheets. Provide insightful information to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. Search and interview bookkeepers, to be appointed 1 June 2020. Work with directors to review sales against overheads etc and forward projection. Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company. Liaise with external accountants who are currently responsible for bookkeeping, tax preparation, pay-roll, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary. Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company. Review financial data and prepare monthly report. Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. If your skills include: Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field Several years of experience in a finance role Understanding of data privacy standards Superior mathematical skills Understanding of business principles and practices Superior attention to detail, organisational skills, planning skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, computer skills, multi-tasking abilities Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Integrity and honesty Highly competent with Excel - for numerical and programming tasks Highly competent with Xero Familiar with Receipt Bank, or similar Proficient using a Mac We encourage you to apply if you feel you have the right attributes for this role.
