Overview

I am currently representing a major Defence company who are looking to identify an experienced Trade Compliance Manager for their team based in London. You will help assist with the development of foreign trade policies and procedures. Ensuring all compliance with EU and US regulations are met by adhering to all laws and regulations. Working closely with the team, you will be tasked to take responsibility by implementing your own Trade Compliance programme. Being an innovative, creative thinker with the ability to adapt quickly and prioritise things effectively is something that comes naturally to you. Key responsibilities to the role include: Liaising with UK government ministries to obtaining, applying and managing trade licenses. Designing your own Trade Compliance programme. Managing trade related activities that are conducted in accordance with the U.S rules and regulations (ITAR). Monitor implementation, identify gaps, and implement controls Staying up to date with UK regulatory changes that may impact the program and ensure update of business operations and systems in a timely manner. Ability to manage and meet multiple goals, plans and milestones with focus on results. Expert with import/export laws and regulations related to international trade. Required Skills: 5 years’ working in a Senior Trade Compliance role. Knowledgeable in UK import/export laws alongside U.S. rules and regulations relating to international trade (ITAR/EAR). Skilled in creating, designing and implementing your own trade compliance programmes. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to manage and meet multiple goals, plans and milestones. Project management experience. TC experience with managing military goods and services. Professional maturity to work with minimal daily supervision. Ability to work in a team environment.
