Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL, BI, SSIS, SSRS) A leading UK FTSE 100 provider of IT services and solutions and Europe's leading managed learning service provider are looking to hire a talented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL, BI, SSIS, SSRS). You will be a key link between the customer and the team, ensuring that requirements are translated accurately, and insight is given on the reporting that is produced, developing new products and propositions and ensuring quality and governance are at a high level. The candidate will have experience in using Business Intelligence visualisation tools (such as Tableau, Sisense, or PowerBI) and relational databases. Strong Excel skills are a must and an ability to convey complex data sets clearly to end users. Responsibilities for the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL, BI, SSIS, SSRS) Work closely with key stakeholders (customers, internal departments and other Capita businesses), translating requirements into technical specifications, time estimates, plans, then develop new reports, data products and data propositions to meet their needs. Delivery solution specifications, Insight reports to stakeholders in written and presentation format - attending stakeholder presentations and playing a leading role. Deliver training and BI introduction session to internal and external BI service users, often helping people to understand the power of data and how to use to help meet their objectives. Communicating technical information to non-technical audiences, avoiding jargon. As required - monitor the Business Intelligence support desk, sizing tasks and bugs in reports and data processes, liaising with ticket requestors and your BI colleagues to ensure tickets are resolved within SLAs. Work across all areas of the business as required, understanding business processes, systems, working with system & process owners, application programmers and ETL developers to ensure the flow of quality data for BI purposes. Requirements for the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL, BI, SSIS, SSRS) Proven working experience as a business analyst in business intelligence field in a similar fast paced commercial environment. A flexible and proactive approach to work always with the ability to manage multiple projects, reports and deadlines showing a commitment to getting to job done Can evidence previous experience of clearly communicating technical/system information to audiences with technical and non-technical backgrounds Good Experience with visualisation packages and third-party tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI and Sisense. An experience of coding language such as Python, R, SQL, and VBA is desirable but not essential. On the job training will be offered. Hands-on experience with reporting standards and end user applications An understanding and familiarity with relational databases and the principles of ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) is essential. A knowledge of specific tools such as SSIS and SSRS is desirable.
