Overview

We are inviting application for Deputy Compliance Head for an international bank based in the city of London Reporting to: Head Compliance Keep up to date, with and understand relevant law and regulations on Financial Crime regulated by FCA. Monitor Compliance with regulations and in conjunction with the internal policy Advising, supporting and executing activities such (KYC / Client Take On / Bribery), Treating Customers Fairly (COBS) Maintaining integrity in dealings (Chinese Walls, Clear Communication) To assist with the maintenance, and update of relevant records including Management Information and risk based periodic review of customer accounts Comply with KYC norms specified by the FCA and JMLSG to ensure compliance of FATF guidelines. Complaint management and submission of returns to the regulators. Assisting in all Compliance aspects of Retail & Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking and Treasury functions in the Bank including furtherance of compliance culture within the bank in accordance with the bank policies and procedures and the local regulations. To facilitate effective and constructive sharing of knowledge and experiences of compliance issues and to effectively engage with other parts of the business and the Bank Assisting in for all compliance related matters in the bank including PRA / FCA / HMRC / Immigration / Data Protection related matters. To remain updated with relevant PRA & FCA regulations from time to time and ensure that the Bank's activities are always compliant with the extant regulation in force. To support the Retail and Corporate Banking business teams to ensure that the businesses operate in accordance with the bank policies and procedures and the local regulations. To facilitate implementation and review of training and competency requirement in line with FCA regulations within the organisation as well as timely approval of the controlled functions Ensure that all necessary matters are notified to the FCA and all regulatory and other returns are submitted to the FCA on time. To work closely with other departments including Internal Audit, Risk to identify weaknesses, if any, in the system and improve the compliance framework. To update the policies related to Compliance function, Compliance Manual and the Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) on an ongoing basis As Manager Compliance, you'll also champion best practice as well as provide guidance to our business units. Ensure that the findings are recorded and followed up with management so that issues can be rectified. Investigate irregularities and non- compliance issues as well. Report back to business functions on current risk and compliance performance. Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisations. Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance and good conduct. Data Manager - Ensure data protection implementation of GDPR.
