Job Description

Deputy Team Manager - Band 7 Following a service transformation across community mental health teams, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. We are proud to achieve a Good CQC rating ( Sept.2019) and are looking to recruit a second creative, innovative and highly motivated Deputy Team Manager to work in the South East Locality Team, Haringey. The team provides person -centred, community-based, mental health support and recovery to the vibrant and diverse population of the London Borough of Haringey. We offer a range of interventions across health and social care including; Peer Support, Psychology and Personality Disorder Services. We are supported by a team based Employment Support (IPS model) Worker, Dual Diagnosis Worker, Link Worker, Housing and Financial Advisors, Family Therapist, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Community Mental Health Nurses Social Workers, Occupational Therapist and Support Workers. You will provide leadership and management support and take an active role in embedding the principles of Enablement, Recovery and Social Inclusion in the team and among our stake holders. You will have excellent organisational and self-management skills and work flexibly to ensure consistent, safe and holistic working practises. You will carry a small clinical caseload that reflects your experience in this role. You must have a Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Nursing. We are looking for a practitioner with at least four years' experience working in community mental health services, with evidence of continuing professional development in specialist areas of mental health, supervision and training of staff. Significant post graduate experience across a range of adult mental health settings including the community within the NHS is essential. You will be highly skilled at working collaboratively and be able to deliver clinical and managerial excellence working alongside service users, stakeholders and carers. You will have some knowledge of Quality Improvement and a fluency in using Microsoft Office packages and software programmes that support rostering and incident management. A commitment to this service user group and to the multi-disciplinary team of nursing, medical, psychological, employment and social work professionals and a sound working knowledge of Enablement and Recovery is required.
