This exciting position, based in London will report into the Head of Curriculum, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning within education and training and will have the ability to inspire and engage with learners to maximise their potential. The Deputy Head of ESOL will be responsible for developing a relevant and responsive curriculum, and possess a proven track record of contributing to ensuring high quality outcomes within an education and training sector. Key responsibilities of the Deputy Head of ESOL will be: * Manage the agreed quality processes and system, which includes: internal/external verification, learner satisfaction, digital learning and lesson observations. * Overseeing the management and quality of the provision across the campus, ensuring the development and evolution of a responsive, relevant, curriculum offer * Working closely with other internal stakeholders to ensure teaching, learning and assessments are embedded to the highest standard across the curriculum areas * Working in accordance with the colleges agreed quality processes and systems * Supporting the Head of Curriculum with creating Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) and developing the Quality Improvement plans (QIP) to ensure the curriculum area is progressing to excellence * Working with colleagues to deliver a quality focused learner experience * Teaching a minimum of 540 hours on a range of agreed courses * Working with colleagues across the college to ensure we are providing necessary safeguarding support for learners The ideal Deputy Head of ESOL will have: * A degree or relevant professional qualifications. * Have substantial experience within the education and training sector and understanding of the London market * Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification * Demonstrable experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning * Experience of continuous quality improvement and internal quality assurance. * Experience of curriculum development * Experienced observer of classroom and workplace teaching and learning assessments Applications close on Tuesday 9th June In return the successful candidate for the Deputy Head of ESOL will receive: * Competitive salary (£37,014 - £40,449 depending on experience) | Childcare Vouchers | Credit Union Loans | Cycle to Work Scheme | Dining and Catering | Employee Assistance Programme | Enhanced Sick Pay | Extended Christmas Closure | Eye Care Vouchers | Family Friendly Policies | Free On-site Car Parking | Generous Pension | Low Gender Pay Gap | Onsite Butchery Smithfield Unit | Software Packages | Swimming Pool | The Mallinson Restaurant | The Print Shop Walthamstow Leisure Centre | Work Perks and Gems At Work | YMCA Gym Discount To apply for this vacancy or for more information, please apply now below to Waltham Forest Colleges recruitment partner Morgan Hunt, who will give you a call to discuss the position in more detail.
