Barts Health - Deputy Group Director of People This is an excellent opportunity to take on one of the largest-scale people roles in the NHS. At its core, this newly created role will help to ensure North East London (NEL) becomes an outstanding place to work for health and social care teams. The Deputy Group Director of People will be instrumental in leading the development and implementation of people and OD strategies for Barts Health and increasingly across the NEL integrated care system, shaping models of leadership over time, and taking the people lead in major Trust merger, acquisition and divestment activity. In addition, the postholder will pioneer the development of agile and professional networks and programme management capability, and leverage our quality improvement system as a key driver of staff engagement and vehicle for change. This is no ordinary role, so we are looking for an inspirational and innovative leader who strives for excellence in everything they do. You will have a successful track record of creating high-performing and happy HR functions within the NHS or similar complex, customer-facing organisations and be experienced in leading diverse programmes across different functions and facilitating stakeholders through major change. You will also have experience of building workforce plans and new workforce models that are underpinned by robust quantitative analysis. Importantly, too, your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills will be coupled with the agility to respond to changing conditions while remaining clear-sighted on corporate strategies and objectives.
