ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER x 2 Ancora Medical Practice is based across two sites within Scunthorpe. We are seeking 2 full time equivalent Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our busy and growing practice, however, a job share would be considered under the right circumstances. A nurse prescribing qualification and previous experience of working with minor illness is essential. The appointment of ANPs in the practice is a new venture for Ancora Medical Practice and so we can offer a unique opportunity to the successful applicants to help us shape and develop the roles to ensure we achieve the best service provision to our patients. Ancora is an innovative and forward thinking training practice which also includes the training of student nurses. Ancora has over 20000 registered patients with an increasing list size. We currently have 10 GP partners, 5 practice nurses, 2 clinical pharmacists, 7 HCAs; First Contact Physios and 40 other support staff. We are also a training practice for both Nurses and GPs. We have identified a gap in the service we currently provide. We are therefore looking for ANPs who can work independently with good support from GPs. They would provide a first point of contact within the practice either face to face or by telephone for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems. The ANPs would support the management of the daily on call system working autonomously, triaging patients requesting home visits.
