Your new company Hays Social Care are working alongside a personalised day provision who specialise in supporting adults with a range of learning disabilities including mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical health needs as well as high functioning autism and Asperger's. Your new role The role of the deputy manager is to provide leadership, development and direction, ensuring that the team provides the people we support within the service with the support they need to lead a good life and achieve the things that are important to them and their families. You will be involved in all areas of people management, setting expectations and monitoring performance, providing 1:1 meetings and annual reviews to ensure staff are demonstrating the skills and attitudes needed, maintaining their motivation and development by working alongside staff, role modelling good practice, coaching and mentoring. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful with the role you will need: Experience of key / link working with individuals enabling those with learning disabilities to take positive risks in their lives. Experience of mentoring / supervising / coaching others Experience of building great relationships which promotes inclusion for people with learning disabilities Person centred working & developing person centred support plans with individuals You will understand the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities Knowledge of safeguarding Proactive learner Holding an NVQ Level 3 within Health & Social Care is essential Level 5 in Leadership & Management would be advantageous but not essential What you'll get in return In return you will receive a competitive salary of between £27.300 - £30,010.50 dependent on experience, 28 days annual leave or at 12.07% of contracted hours, Paid bank holidays, paid Christmas break of between 5 - 8 days.
