Divisional Commercial Director
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Involve with the sales, tender or re-tender process Adopt and agree the best negotiation strategy with internal stakeholders Lead the negotiation Achieve a signed contract document Influence internal and external stakeholders Comply with the company contracting standards and policies Attend Business Unit, Account, Contract or Project Reviews to promote best practice Provide and maintain standard documentation Advise on contractual obligations Run commercial training courses Provide commercial and legal guidance at tender stage and through the contract life cycle Present at Company, Divisional and BU management meetings Stay abreast of changes in law and commercial practice Analyse the circumstances and articulate the options and potential outcomes Influence and motivate stakeholders to take the best commercial solution Build key customer contacts to strengthen the company’s position in the development of long-term customer relationships Consider innovative solutions Take the lead on issues which could lead to high risk or litigation/disputes Timely and contractually robust order placement Transfer risk by back to back obligations Negotiation of Supplier Terms Degree qualified or equivalent At least five years relevant experience in a commercial role Sales focused contract negotiation skills Self-motivated individual experienced and comfortable with complex problem solving and providing solutions-based advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders Customer focused approach Proven track record of working with, educating and influencing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with fluency in English Collaborative approach with ability to maximise short term requirements and output whilst building long-term productive relationships Thrive on fast-pace working in a regional and global business Able to understand and anticipate business needs. Flexible approach, diligent, discrete, compliant with company policies and responsive to key business objectives Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business impact and risk mitigation in relation to contract drafting and operations Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making Experienced and comfortable with industry standard forms of contract, such as JCT, MF1, NEC3 etc Experience of FM industry Additional language skills highly desirable Experience working with blue chip, IT, finance, media and/or telecoms companies desirable Qualification / training in contract law (desirable)
