Overview
Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing has an exceptional opportunity for an Industrial Engineer to join a global automotive business in Wakefield. Offering a range of high-quality productions, our client is looking to add an Industrial Engineer to their growing team. As an Industrial Engineer, your responsibilities will be, but not limited to: Read and complete costing models and estimates Drive a lean manufacturing culture through the shop floor and identify continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency Lead by example and coach plant members in root cause analysis and improvement tools Roll-out production operator standard work and oversee the development and documentation Organise and lead value stream mapping activities Develop part costings Define and develop methods to promote efficient staff and facility utilisation Lead waste removal activities Undertake and coordinate projects Conduct time study analysis The successful candidate will have: Degree in Engineering 2 years' experience working in an established business Experience working in an automotive environment A patient mindset with a meticulous eye for detail Numerically minded with a passion for numbers down to the decimal Be curious about the process and use initiative to create cost-saving opportunities Excellent user of Excel SAP experience would be advantageous This is a fantastic opportunity for an Industrial Engineer to make the role their own and have the ability to identify and implement real change into a successful automotive business.
