Job Title: Advanced Practitioner Location: Apsley Salary Range: £34,788 progressing to £42,683pa £1,000 welcome payment, lease car and relocation package- terms apply Hours: 37 hours per week (full time preferred, but will consider part timers) Contract: Permanent Job Duties: Due to internal promotion Watford Older People’s Team is are looking for an Advanced Practitioner who holds the key skills to lead on the practice development. You will have a proven ability to lead on practice excellence and demonstrate your ability to manage a complexity of caseloads. You will have extensive knowledge in all areas of legislation relevant to this position. You will have the ability to undertake innovative assessments and care planning with individuals, carers and their personal support networks You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work independently, provide supervision and guidance to support the development of less experienced staff and hold additional qualifications as either an AMPH, Best Interest Assessor or Practice Educator (or an interest in gaining such qualifications). You will have proven success in a qualified social work or occupational therapy position. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in building relationships with service users; families; carers and professional colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment. The position is community based and Hertfordshire offers a range of touchdown offices as well as the latest digital technology to enable SMART working. You will need to be HCPC or Social Work England registered and have knowledge and experience of relevant legislation in relation to social care, safeguarding and mental capacity for older people. Older Peoples Services promote personalisation focusing on the wellbeing of the individual. Through care planning we strive for increased independence, choice and control by enable older people to direct their own support. We need Advanced Practitioners to lead staff and enable them to engage with older people by providing, promoting and enabling inclusive community options as well as self-directed purchased services. You will be a resilient, imaginative and reflective practitioner who has the ability to work in a busy environment and demonstrate your ability to work autonomously .
