Additionally, we were the first in our field to invest in an ultra large (XXL) format UV Litho press and today remain the only company in our sector worldwide to operate two of these giant machines. Role Overview The Financial Director will be responsible for heading up the Finance function within the Superior business , they will also form part of the Superior Senior Leadership Team Primary Objectives Managing Superior’s corporate finance matters; Managing Superior’s budget and forecasting process; Providing the Chief Financial Officer and Board with commentary on Superior’s financial performance; Participating in the formulation and implementation of Superior’s strategy. Adhoc projects as required by the business. Managing / coaching / training the Finance team and ensuring correct procedures being adhered to and team motivated. Ensuring timely and accurate production of management accounts and annual budgets- being able to report to Board of Directors. Ensuring EBITDA targets met and financial reporting, controls and procedures are enhanced across the group. Development of complex analysis and excel templates for use on day to day systems and procedures as well as linking in with management accounts. Conducting regular updates to sales forecasting interlinking directly with the businesses management information system. Managing the day to day interface with the Companies Bankers and meeting covenant reporting requirements. Attending meetings with the Company Directors to discuss unit performances versus budgets with Operations Managers and prepare bonuses according to Management Accounts information. Liaising with in-house Payroll Department to ensure best practise is being implemented. Implementing good tax planning/ Corporation tax and liaising with outside auditors. Preparing various draft year end accounts/use of capital allowances/losses. Playing a key role in developing IT systems to improve asset protection, financial control and reporting. Providing support on Company tax affairs including research and development. Skills, Knowledge and Experience Be fully qualified and accredited as a Chartered Accountant (or overseas equivalent) with 5 or more years post qualified experience (PQE) Previous relevant experience working in print, media and/or visual communications sector. Previous experience with M&A transactions, including liaising with investors and managing all aspects of the due diligence processes. Previous experience working with senior members of an organisation. Strong excel skills Enjoy working in a team based environment, working across all levels of the business Be a quick learner with a proven track record of delivering quality outputs under pressure Be confident, personable and have excellent presentation and negotiation skills Fluent communication skills (written and verbal English) Team management including mentoring and coaching junior staff members Previous management accounting experience with SME's and large family owned businesses. Previous experience working in professional services would be very beneficial Strong communication skills including willingness to present in front of directors and clients alike. Advanced Microsoft Excel (will be working with macros). Previously experience with Management Information Systems required Experience in installation of new systems, controls and procedures Behaviours (optional) To be known for ‘making things happen’ through great service.
