Overview

Redimeer is recruiting for a Finance Project Manager to join an international accounting organisation based in Canary Wharf. This is a great opportunity to join as a key member of the team during an implementation of a new finance system. A business Process & Technology programme (BP&T) has been established, an organisation-wide initiative to invest in its IT infrastructure and systems. As part of this, Microsoft Business Central has been selected as the system to replace SAP Business One. Implementation is planned during Q2 with go live in Q3. Implementation will include re-assessing and re-working legacy approaches and processes and a roadmap of integration with existing legacy systems that will then be replaced with modern systems (for example a new CRM). As a Finance Project Manager, you will work with the Finance team during the implementation of Microsoft Business Central to ensure that project milestones are met and that opportunities to update processes and procedures are maximised. You will be the key interface between the Finance team and the BP&T programme board, the glue between finance and technology. Principal Accountabilities: This will be a hands-on role where you will be the go-to person for everything involving the project’s organisation and timeline. It is imperative that the candidate can provide strong and stable business continuity, with the planned retirement of the current Head of Finance at the end of May and the maternity leave for two other team members starting in the summer. Key Responsibilities: Support the Finance team with all day to day activities of the system implementation Maintain a structured project work plan with clear milestones, monitor and provide status updates as required to ensure that all stakeholders understand project timelines, deliverables and outcomes Identify and manage risks to ensure on time delivery Proactively challenge the team to ensure that they are making use of all opportunities to modernise and streamline existing processes, removing the need for multiple spreadsheets and manual interventions Document system and business processes, maintain user guides and train finance and non-finance users Qualifications and experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with demonstrable understanding of project management and change management disciplines. Significant experience of implementing new Finance systems Experience of helping Finance teams to update processes and procedures to make the most of investment in new technology Strong project operations management and project management capabilities in executing and delivering technical projects Demonstrable stakeholder management skills with previous experience of dealing with senior executives and managing external vendors and consultants.
