Overview

We are looking for an Acoustics Engineer to take on a great opportunity to join a 1st Tier Supplier for the Automotive industry. They are leaders in the industry, specialising in design and manufacturing of parts and components for well-known car manufacturers across the world. As the company has grown over the last years, they really value their team members and as an Acoustics Engineer you will be responsible for: · Carrying out required processes to support purchasing activity, defining and documenting material specifications. · Supporting the provision of data and testing reports as part of the required quality activity. · Acoustic testing of materials, including absorption, transmission loss and air permeability testing. · Date Collection, processing and presentation of acoustic performance. · Providing acoustic information to decide the material specification for new projects. · Supplying acoustic information to potential and existing customers, including supporting Sales and Engineering staff on customer visits as required. · R&D activity specific to the acoustic properties of materials and products to develop innovative product solutions for clients. The company is open to interviewing Acoustics Engineers with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the automotive industry or a similar industry and with Acoustics & vibration knowledge. The ideal personality and cultural fit would be a highly organised individual who can prioritise their workload accordingly. Having an excellent eye for detail and that can think in innovative ways, also someone who is able to communicate technical information to a varied audience via a written or through a verbal fashion. Using such communication skills to establish and keep productive relationships with customers. Other Requirements: · The Candidate must be quick to think on their feet and have always an upbeat and positive attitude towards challenges. · Cooperation culture is a must, which includes listening to your peers and sharing conceptual ideas but also being able to follow instructions when required to do so. · Excellent communication at all levels is also necessary for this role. · Degree-level education in acoustics/noise/vibration is required.
