Job Description
Experienced PAVA Acoustic Design Engineer needed on a contract basis for this flagship project telent: PAVA Acoustic Design Engineer Location: GB London / Carburton street - GBCAR Type of Job: Contractor Ref No: V9479 Role Profile We require an Acoustic Engineer with a broad range of experience in building acoustics to support the current PAVA design work for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear power station. The role consists of the creation of detailed design documentation for the site-wide PAVA system, including all core-equipment, loudspeakers and visual alerting devices. Typical Deliverables The successful candidate will work with a senior acoustics engineer as an integral part of a large multi-disciplinary team. The team consists of system design and installation engineers responsible for the delivery of a highly integrated and multi-technology communications infrastructure. Responsibilities * Create detailed design output documentation such as descriptive text, narratives and schematic diagrams. * Participate in the definition of specific design/implementation requirements with the customer. Business Operations Skills - Experience Essential: * Engineering focussed with relevant experience of Public Address system design. * Experience of applying Design Standards and Guidelines such as BS and EN standards. * Successfully delivered Public Address system designs to a high standard Advantageous (but not essential): * Previous experience of installation, commissioning and testing of Public Address systems in industrial environments, preferably in the nuclear power industry. Business Operations Skills- Qualifications * Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field or significant demonstrable experience * Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (Preferred but not essential) Behavioural Requirements * Able to manage their own time and workload on a day-to-day basis * Able to proactively collaborate with the wider team whilst having the ability to work alone.
