Medical Technology Engineer, Acoustics, Ultrasound, R&D My client, an exciting Med-Tech start-up, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Medical Technology Engineer / Ultrasound Engineer to join their growing team based-in Oxford. The successful Medical Technology Engineer / Ultrasound Engineer will likely have a background – commercial or academic – in Acoustical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Signal Processing and a strong grasp of mathematical concepts such as The Fourier transform and complex numbers. The Company Spun-out of an existing, successful scientific R&D firm, and with substantial funding secured, the Medical Technology Engineer / Ultrasound Engineer will be joining a talented and dedicated team as they look to develop proof of principle technology into a fully functioning product prototype. Using ultrasound technology, the company has developed a novel, minimally-invasive surgical procedure that has the potential to transform spinal surgery. What’s Required? This Medical Technology Engineer / Ultrasound Engineer position would also be suitable for an Acoustic Engineer or a candidate with a solid understanding of signal processing, acoustical engineering or electrical engineering. Further key experience for the successful candidate includes: A solid understanding of mathematical concepts such as The Fourier transform and Complex numbers Experience with software languages such as MATLAB or similar Experience with ultrasonic measurements and calibration A Degree in a relevant field such as acoustical engineering, electrical engineering or signal processing Medical device development or surgical experience is highly desirable Experience with system prototyping, validation and testing is also a plus Experience with ultrasound technology would be highly advantageous What Next?
