Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lead to join our client within the payments industry. The role: You will be working with key stakeholders and business units, including legal, technology and pricing/finance. Some other key areas are: Prime vendor contracting Back to back contract development, negotiation and service definition as prime vendor with multiple subcontractors/vendors Overall deal contract shaping, drafting heads of terms and service schedules Establishes alternative contract frameworks, commercial and incentive frameworks Software licensing (software) Software IP and licensing definition and drafting Leads with product owners in identifying intellectual property risks and proposes alternative approaches. Maintenance and transition arrangements (operational) Defines ongoing service and maintenance contracts Other Commercial legal and IP legal support will be available, though will need to be directed by the commercial lead The role holder will need to lead sourcing professionals and procurement lawyers in set up of onwards contracts with sub-contractors Negotiation skills Expert Stakeholder management Leading the planning and monitoring of pipeline and related activities across Contract development and partner functions Proactively addresses issues arising from procedures, capacity, interpretation of policies, misalignment of technical understanding, ensuring client experience and relationships are not impacted, and deals not compromised. The person: Experience in major projects contract development for critical systems technology vendors on both software and systems integration activities (eg IBM, Oracle, SAP) Public procurement experience Educated to degree level and/or relevant professional experience. Commercial Legal background in Technology field preferred. Deep proven experience in dealing with business, technical and regulatory aspects Strong commercial acumen. Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, negotiation and management skills Prior experience of advising stakeholders at senior organisational levels Extensive stakeholder management skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
