Job title: Chef de Partie Salary: 21,000 GBP Location: Ambleside, Cumbria Type of contract: Permanent Workplace description: This family-run hotel overlooks Lake Windermere and has a tranquil restaurant, which features a modern British menu and serves fresh, local produce. The hotel is in the heart of the Lake District, surrounded by fells and lakes. The edge of Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England, is a few minutes’ walk away. Main duties and responsibilities: Making food orders and all the kitchen necessities. Ensures that the pantry and the kitchen are well stocked at any given time. Oversees all the kitchen and culinary staff. Supervises to make sure that everything is done as well as it should be done. Assisting the Head Chef in creating menus and writing of food recipes that are to be used. Assigning the staff different tasks that should be done. Ensure that sanitary conditions are kept at all times. Essential criteria: You will have experience of working on your own section & must have at least a basic knowledge of working with pastry. You will have an excellent attitude towards learning, be passionate about good quality cuisine and show dedication to your career. A stable background is desired for this position.
