Applicants are invited to apply for the above vacancy within the Galileo Procurement team based at the Port of Liverpool. Role Purpose: To maintain information within the system and improve/streamline the end user experience of Ariba Guided Buying. This role will include the following responsibilities: Creation of Procurement Catalogue Items / Forms in Ariba Guided Buying Maintenance of pricing against catalogue items & contracts in Ariba Guided Buying Allocation of new/existing suppliers to relevant UNSPSC codes (note that this will need updating as suppliers are selected / de-selected from different categories) and different business units Ensuring that there are enough suppliers in each sub-category tile for a 3-quote process to be run, and the ongoing management of this to prevent effective lock-in by analysing data on awards / POs Monitoring of system spend patterns for improvements, new catalogue items to be created new purchasing activity required to introduce competition and monitoring rate compliance Maintaining the relevance of Ariba Guided Buying, e.g. by adding new UNSPSC codes where required, amending tiles, and ongoing activity to apply restrictions to certain tiles based on user group (e.g. only allowing non -IT users to access End User Computing within the IT tile) Negotiation of low-level pricing changes on catalogue items set by Group Procurement Supplier Enablement - onboard & maintain suppliers using Ariba network Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience: Excellent, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, on a day-to-day basis High level of numerical and data entry speed and accuracy Self-motivated and driven to succeed, holding a positive and professional attitude within the work place environment Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization Strong IT skills, with knowledge of SAP an advantage but not essential
