Overview
The Company: My client is a Global Brand Performance Agency managing over $1BN in media annually, with 1,000 employees across 25 offices in 15 countries around the World. They have 3 main hub offices being London, New York and Hong Kong to coordinate and manage their 3 core territories EMEA, US and APAC. The role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bright and ambitious Financial Accountant to join a fast-growing digital marketing company that possess a portfolio of innovative, high profile brands. Month End Reporting: Support production of monthly consolidated accounts - with a focus on overseas entities and inter-company transactions. Ownership of inter-company recharges in line with Global transfer pricing framework Global tax commitments being checked and handled correctly Review P&L and balance sheet of each entity / branch to ensure transactions are correctly recorded Liasing with management accountants and overseas accountants regarding queries Analysis and breakdown of operating costs across each country Monthly/Quarterly Tasks: Ensuring a code of best practice and governance with regards to global accounting treatment Calculating and instructing appropriate intercompany recharges between all legal entities on a monthly basis Updating transfer pricing documentation Working alongside management accountants to review foreign companies compliance and give recommendations to FC & CFO on potential cost savings Monthly reporting on income and analysis of search engine spend Variance analysis on income and monthly P&L with informative commentary Operating cost reviews alongside local and 3rd party accountants Support corporation tax returns for UK and overseas entities Ad-hoc tasks: Work with external auditors on annual basis leading intercompany & group tax testing Align foreign TB’s to UK templates Provide RFI data for sales team when requested for new biz opportunities Assist with new office onboarding and foreign accountant requirements Liasing with foreign tax offices in order to ensure compliance in foreign regions Aiding management accountants when required Skill Requirements: Consolidation experience involving foreign companies essential Experience of working on group consolidations & involvement in audit process Part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) Advanced excel. Must be able to handle large volumes of data from accounts system and interpret this data in excel Ideally have experience working in a client service industry, preferably media / digital Sage 200 and / or Sage Intacct experience preferred. Excellent time management skills Good communications skills as the role will involve speaking to various external accountants in regions where we are based Team player able to understand the bigger picture but also prepared to get into the detail to get the job done Excellent attention to detail and presentation
