The Chief Technology Officer role will give you the chance to come in and own the 230 strong technology function at one of the world's biggest travel groups. They have been going through an extended period of excellently funded growth; acquiring multiple brands and expanding their portfolio to accommodate all aspects of the global market (e.g. cruises, budget travel, bespoke luxury holidays, etc) and are looking for an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to help consolidate this scale-up. The main responsibilities of this role are to set the overall IT strategy for the next 3- 5 year period, develop effective working relationships with senior global stakeholders in the business, establish a solution architect function, creating and owning the global budget, and establish a security function within the group. This is a senior leadership role in the business. As such, it's important that you can bring your own stamp of organisational, motivation and strategic skills to the company. To Succeed as Chief Technology Officer you will; You must have previous experience of working as a Chief Technology Officer for a global e-commerce business You must have originally come from a software engineering background You will have experience of managing senior business stakeholders in international locations. You will have experience of line managing senior technology heads of departments.
