Overview

Lead Technical Architect Salary: £85,000 - £90,000 15% bonus 1-2 days/week remote Location: Nottingham The recruitment for this role will be continuing through the Covid-19 lockdown. Interviews will be conducted over phone and video conference. There’s no shortage of architecture roles these days. Everyone is crying out for the heroes who can implement solutions that us mere mortals could never hope to understand. So, if we’re being realistic, what sets those roles apart? Is it the money? The challenge? Company brand? Maybe it’s bean bag chairs, an office dog, pool tables, and being able to wear your crocs in the office? What if it there was a role that had all of that? Well, y’know, they’re a bit iffy when it comes to the crocs, but you understood my question. It’d be quite cool right? With a brand that extends across the globe, it would be fair to say that this is the company that provides the FinTech solutions that power everything else when it comes to FinTech. They create solutions that power the way the entire western world views finance. They’ve fully embraced Cloud technologies, and the things that they’ve achieved - and hope to achieve - will change that even more…but there’s a slight problem. They don’t have you. But I’m rambling. Why would you join them? Well, apart from amazing benefits, an incredible salary, and a level of support, progression, and development that is basically unmatched by all others in their market, they can offer you the one thing that really counts: the change to create something truly unique They are one of the only companies in the UK that are utilising and implementing cloud solutions across every major platform at this scale. Whether its AWS, Azure, GCP, or AliCloud, it’s safe to say that there’s no shortage of things for you to get stuck in to and flex your technical muscles. The team currently sits at a pretty steady number, but over the next 6-12 months they’re looking to add a few more Lead Engineers to their team in Nottingham, as well as a very friendly and very clever Technical Architect - that’s probably you. Initially, you’ll be working on architecting and implementing platforms and services that revolve heavily around data and analytics. They're a cloud-first business, and the team all develop with an Ops mindset, so it highly like you'll be putting in a bit of work and communicating with the DevOps and DevSecOps team to make sure it goes smoothly. They’re a pretty sizeable organisation, so this may not be the best place for people who want to shy away or hide in the corner. You don’t have to be the life of the party, but if you’re comfortable in your own skin and don’t mind mucking in with stakeholders and getting stuck in yourself, you’ll be just fine. There’s no ridiculously long list of requirements in order to ensure you’re successful, and I’m happy to have a chat about the finer details (I’ve rambled on already…) Most of their technology and their stack is heavily focused on Java, but they're aware that anyone coming in to a role like this will likely be able to pivot and switch between languages and frameworks with minimal fuss. If you're an experienced architect, don't let the lack of "dead on" stack experience put you off. There is room to learn. If you’d like to know more, send your CV over and let’s have a chat.
