Therapy Services Advanced Practitioner Paediatric Occupational Therapist AFC Band 7 30 hours per week Permanent The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre and provides care for children between the ages of 0-18 years old. With 116 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond treating a full range of conditions, including: * Cancer * Neurological and neurosurgery both trauma and elective * Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics. It is part of the NUH Major Trauma Centre and is also a principle treatment centre for children with cancer. We have the exciting opportunity for a dynamic self-motivated, experienced Occupational Therapist to join the children's OT team here at the Nottingham Children's Hospital at Queens Medical Centre. This band 7 post will have both a leadership and clinical role. The post holder will be responsible for the musculoskeletal OT team, including day to day management of the staff and future service developments. The post holder should have experience of working with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and splinting and bracing skills are essential. There is a mix of in and outpatient work and the post holder will work flexibly between the two. The post holder should have experience of scoping services and leading on key service development opportunities. You will have regular appraisals and professional support including training as identified. This is an opportunity to help further develop the Occupational Therapy Service in the acute setting, working in partnership with colleagues to develop the MSK service to provide the best standards of care to our patients.
