Network Engineer - ISP & Technical Services London, West End CCNA and CCNP or JNCIA Network Operations, Routing & Switching with switches, routers, hubs, servers, firewalls, MPLS, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, ONT, UDP, IPT VoIP , QoS, QinQ, Assist with Business as Usual activities to support day to day network operations in an ISP environment, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper and/or HP Routers, Switches and Hubs over GPON and P2P Networks. To £60,000pa DoE Excellent Benefits Package London - Office Based - 9am till 5:30pm Monday to Friday This dynamic and growing network services provider are seeking professional, career minded and focused Network Engineer to be based at their HQ in London. You will need to ambitious, have energy and commitment in abundance and be looking to progress to the next stage in your career with a fast-paced Network and Communications organisation. You will play an active part in the full project lifecycle, initially providing input and assistance for low level design (LLD) and configuration, as well as BAU Operational Support in a full multi-vendor environment which involve routers and switches. This scope of the role means you will be working on multiple technologies, and your learning and development will increase in a short amount of time. This is a high tempo role, and this client will happily consider candidates from a Network Operations background who are looking to gain more project exposure in a busy ISP. Any experience in Network Automation or coding would also be beneficial, but not essential. With a solid background in Networking your responsibilities will include: Assist with Business as Usual activities to support day to day network operations in an ISP environment. Network operation, including, hands on experience with switches, routers, hubs, servers, firewalls, wireless, TCP/IP, ONT,UDP, IPT VoIP, QoS, MPLS, QinQ Extensive experience in running a full project lifecycle. CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA level certification required. Able to work in a high tempo environment, with autonomy Resolving Level 1 - 3 issues with client services Creating and/or updating case notes on service incident tickets What you will need to have to secure this role: Cisco CCNA/CCNP level or Juniper JNCIS or JNCIP certified. Any experience in Network Automation or coding would also be beneficial, but not essential. Excellent communication skills needed Creating network diagrams, SOWs, HLD, LLDs skills desirable. Able to interact with other members of the Business on joint projects Knowledge of Business IT, i.e. home networks, servers, email, Wi-Fi access points, Ethernet over power lines etc. Strong multitasking & problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills, via phone, face to face and other remote access methods. Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities. Customer focused. Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service delivery Flexible to visit the datacentre as and when needed Good documentation of projects or other issues is essential.
