Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join and award winning team working within the field of specialist brain injury rehabilitation. The Oakleaf Group currently caters for a male client base specialising in neurological conditions across various sites, with a total of 103 beds and have recently been awarded "Outstanding" status by CQC. Services provided include assessment, active rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and long stay/maintenance placements. The multi-disciplinary team consist of clinical and therapy staff which ensures rehabilitation packages are individualised to the needs of each resident. The successful candidate will work at the Cotswolds facility in Duston, Northampton. This service accommodates residents who are requiring a specialist environment to manage more complex health and nursing needs and are extremely proud to have been awarded the "Gold Standard" by the Gold Standards Framework in the delivery of End of Life and Palliative care to its residents and their families. The successful applicant will be part of a large, dynamic and supportive team that includes Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology and Nursing. This opportunity will be perfect for an Occupational Therapist to develop their skills within a conscientious, hard working and supportive team, allowing creativity and autonomy within their work. Expectations The successful candidate should have a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. The role would ideally suit an Occupational Therapist who has experience of working with individuals with complex needs and experience of working with people with neurological conditions. The successful candidate will be confident when managing challenging behaviour, have manual handling experience and knowledge of mobility equipment. The post holder will be expected to manage a case load of clients with acquired brain injury and in conjunction with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, form a comprehensive assessment of needs and develop Occupational Therapy intervention plans. HCPC registration is essential. The successful applicant must be a car driver due to the community aspects of the role.
