Overview
Supervising the Credit Control Function Client Details Our client are on the hunt for an experienced and motivated Credit Control Team Leader to join their team. With their head offices based in Luton, they are a leading organisation in the FMCG industry with business globally. This role is suitable for someone with a wealth of Credit Control experience behind them, looking for a new challenge as a Team Leader in a fast-paced environment. Description Key responsibilities for the Credit Control Team Leader include: Overseeing the Credit Team ensuring the function runs smoothly and efficiently Reporting to the Credit Manager Mentoring and training more junior members of the team Ensuring that debts are paid in a timely manner Credit checking new clients Meeting cash & debtor day targets Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales Handling disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms Providing accurate advice on billing queries Identifying causes for slower or delayed payments Providing solutions to any problems discovered Responding promptly to both client and internal enquiries Bank reconciliation and cash management Overseeing correct ledger allocation of receipts and payments Attending meetings with the credit team to discuss targets and goals Looking after a given number of accounts Profile The successful candidate for the Credit Control Team Leader in Luton will: Have experience in a Credit Supervisor / Team Leader position previously Have strong knowledge of the Credit Control function Be a confident team player Be a good communicator CICM desirable Working knowledge of SAP desirable Have strong excel skills Have strong attention to detail Job Offer The successful candidate will receive a permanent position in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
