Client Details With extraordinary growth within the Retail sector with sites located across the country the business is looking to bring on board an experience Temporary Credit Controller - PT to support their finance team. They have a strong reputation amongst their customers for providing top quality products and require a strong credit controller to recover outstanding debt and look at the current finance processes to ensure the proactive collection of debt and reduction of future invoicing issues. With the opportunity to make a positive impact through building relationships with suppliers and managing the ledger, this role is ideal for anyone located in and around Luton, Dunstable or the surrounding area such as Bedford and Milton Keynes. Description The Temporary Credit Controller - PT will have responsibilities that include: To manage a portfolio of existing and new customers for the purpose of controlling, reducing and maintaining debt Achieve high volumes of daily credit control, documenting call activity - promised payments - instalments Liaising with internal stakeholders and working effectively across the Finance Department Month End balance sheet reconciliations Production of Monthly debt reports Reconciliation on the in house Financial Accounting Software Log customer disputes, ensuring the level of detail is sufficient for analysing root cause issues and resolving queries Releasing orders in line with credit policy and updating list daily for stream stakeholders Attend any meetings as required Any ad-hoc tasks as required by Line Manager Profile The successful Temporary Credit Controller - PT will have: Be Immediately Available or with a relatively short notice period - Essential Previous experience in a Credit or Debt Collection role - Essential Demonstrable experience in a credit control position - Essential Strong IT skills - particularly Excel Ability to communicate with customers and staff at all levels of the organisation (essential) with excellent telephone manner and customer service To have negotiation skills in relation to credit control - Essential A high level of accuracy and attention to detail - Essential Ability to work well within a team and approachable nature - Essential Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines - Essential A pro-active personality with an ability to take ownership of processes - Desirable Job Offer The opportunity to join a successful retail business that is projecting growth in an interesting and varied role.
