Overview

Royal Blind, Scotland’s largest vision impairment charity, is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join Braeside House, our care home for older people with a vision impairment in Edinburgh. The Senior Care Assistant will support the Registered Nurses to supervise the delivery of high standards of relationship centred care. The care provided will be outcome focused and promote dignity, privacy, independence and choice for the residents in a supportive environment Key requirements: SVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent (completed or working towards) Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Ability to lead a team Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop good relationships with colleagues Ability to organise time effectively, create work schedules and prioritise workloads. Hours: 34.5 hours any 3 days from 7. Pay: £21,152 FTE per annum 34.5 hours: £19,722 per annum Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract The posts are subject to a PVG Scheme Record/Update check for regulated work with vulnerable adults.
