Estates Officer Ollerton, Newark £26,110 - £30,807 per annum Full Time (35 hours per week) Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2021 Our client is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region they manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 950,000 hours of care and support each year. They have two fantastic opportunities within the Estates Management Team for you to apply for A day in the life of an Estates officer: To keep it short - each and every day is varied and interesting. Some of your duties may include but are not limited to: Tenancy and Estate Management (e.g. pre-tenancy interviews and investigations) Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour including providing witness statements and attending court Managing a property portfolio of approximately 700 properties. Liaise and coach site-based staff providing guidance and support on a regular basis. Assisting with the development of Community Cohesion initiatives. Dealing with Customer enquiries in accordance with agreed standards Carrying out Health & Safety checks within buildings Liaising with external agencies and support networks on behalf of customers. Undertaking visual Risk Assessments of communal areas and Fire Risk Assessments and updating the risk assessment database accordingly. As you can see from the list of duties stated above, you will come into contact with a variety of people in this role. You therefore must demonstrate strong communication and problem solving skills and have an exceptional customer focus to enable them to maintain a high quality service. They are always striving to get it right the first time to leave a lasting positive impression. There will be an element of travelling and therefore it is essential that you have a full valid driving license and access to a vehicle. Using your current experience of housing management, you will be able to demonstrate a wealth of knowledge in tenancy, estate and anti-social behaviour management. You will have a housing and/or other relevant qualification or experience of working to a NVQ level 3 or equivalent and recent experience of achieving targets in a performance oriented team environment. You will also have a demonstrable ability and willingness to contribute to the development of customer focused service improvements and knowledge of community development.
