Overview
My client are an amazing creative agency who are looking for a confident and ambitious Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in the business. With some A-list clients and a great brand presence, this is an amazing opportunity to establish yourself in a creative agency. The role as Financial Controller will report directly into the Finance Director and have 3 direct reports looking after the London function. Your role as Financial Controller is a newly created position due to growth where you will be managing the day to day finance function by overseeing the team and reviewing their work including month end closure and payment runs. You will also be responsible for cash management, forecasting, budgeting and reviewing the management pack as well as ad-hoc projects. As you will be abiding by listed requirements, you will need to be responsible for SOX compliance and adhering to strict deadlines. There is an opportunity to make changes and efficiencies in the team and they encourage you to make working relationships with other teams including marketing, sales etc. The right candidate for the Financial Controller position will need to be qualified (ACA,ACCA,CIMA). My client are flexible on experience and consider candidates who are making a step up but will need to have the gravitas and out going personality to fit in to the agency. You will need to ideally have agency experience however if you are immediately available or on short notice then my client might consider candidate outside of Media.
