Legal 500 and Lexcel accredited firm in West Yorkshire requires an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join their highly regarded team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with expertise in employment matters to manage their own caseload at a leading firm in Leeds. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Responsibilities • Managing own caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters • Advising on misconduct, sickness, grievances and other routine matters • TUPE advice • Employment tribunal litigation, up to hearing stage • Conducting telephone advocacy if required • Advising on industrial relations and strike action • Advising on restructures • Preparation and presentation of training to clients • Achieving time recording and billing targets • Undertaking marketing and business development • Supporting the partners on large and more complex matters The Candidate • Solicitors with between 5 and 7 years’ PQE • Strong academic background, attaining a 2:1 degree or above • Ability to manage their own caseload • Strong technical ability and commercial awareness • Experience of employment law is essential • Knowledge of pensions law, social housing and data protection would be beneficial • Excellent communication skills The Firm A highly regarded practice headquartered in the City, our client offers a full range of legal services to business and individual clients based both locally and further afield.
