Overview
An outstanding vacancy has become available in Leeds for an NQ-2 PQE solicitor who has some experience of regulatory work looking to join a Top 20 award winning law firm with access to high profile, cutting edge cases. This team is one of the largest in the UK - the work includes advising insurers, public sector and corporate clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by a wide range of regulators including the Police, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Environmental Health and Trading Standards. As a successful regulatory solicitor, you will join a team that deals with all aspects of advice and defence and the team are currently instructed on a number of corporate manslaughter cases and investigations. You will be working within the Leeds team, predominantly assisting a senior fee earner and the work will include a range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues for a variety of clients. The successful regulatory solicitor will ideally be NQ-2 years' PQE with some experience or awareness of regulatory work, ideally, this will include advising on any of health and safety incident investigations, interviews under caution, prosecutions, environmental breaches, breaches of trading standards, food law and or fire safety. Candidates with experience of financial services regulation will also be considered. Inquest experience is beneficial but not essential as long as you have a willingness to learn and a proactive approach to understanding the area quickly.
