Job Title: Maintenance Controls Engineer Department: Maintenance Location: Coventry Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) Our Client is supplier of industrial services. Now seeking a Maintenance Controls Engineer based in Coventry with experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, responsible for ensuring that all plant and equipment is maintained to a fit for purpose standard, supervising maintenance service procedures and ensuring machine downtime is minimised. As the Maintenance Controls Engineer you will have experience delegating and supervising contractors, operating within an emergency repair situation, handling customer complaints and queries face to face fault finding ABB robots and Siemens PLCs, fault finding/programming BEP robots able to work under pressure and wanting an opportunity to continually learn and develop The Maintenance Controls Engineer requires the following formal qualifications and experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Siemens Step 7, ABB Robotics, Fanuc Robotics, drives & controls (CT & Allen Bradley) HMI Networking, Scada Software and will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. To assist with the set-up and operation of planned preventative maintenance procedures. To undertake planned preventive maintenance as required. To ensure breakdowns are responded to in a quick and prompt manor To assist with the set-up of emergency procedures for machine breakdowns. To understand and operate to define emergency procedures for machine breakdowns to minimize downtime To recommend improvements to the working processes or equipment where opportunities are seen, undertake or assist with their implementation where requested. To maintain all buildings in electrical/plumbing To co-ordinate feedback on process and equipment improvements to the appropriate authority. To ensure assessment and minimization of risks with regard maintenance issues. To ensure all software is backed-up and stored correctly Gain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and operate within audit process that ensure both Customer expectations are met. To ensure the effective building of client relationships and the company image suitability represents the high standards required. To undertake liaison with customers and suppliers at all levels as and when needs arise. Complying with any applicable Health & Safety legislation. To adhere to Company policy and operate to procedures and work instructions. In addition to the duties listed above the Control Engineer is required to perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Maintenance Manager/ Supervisor.
