The Role About the Role How does a complex building like the Shard work? Who ensures that the engineering specifications for such a building will meet or exceed what is required for such a complex building, in order for it to be a safe and comfortable place for people to live and work? Southwark Council have two openings for Building Standards Officers . These are new roles and have been created for engineers and technologists who want the opportunity to grow into a challenging and thought provoking position, whilst learning and developing valuable experiences. If you are looking to apply your skills and qualifications in mechanical, electrical or structural engineering disciplines then a Building Standards Officer at Southwark is your next step.
