Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced paralegal to join a Maritime company on a permanent basis. The firm are particularly interested in candidates who match the following profiles: Candidate profile No. 1: Transactional Experience - assisting with the running and completion of financing transactions English law legal degree or legal conversation course graduate At least 2 years proven experience as a paralegal in a similar legal role, within the following areas: ship finance, Aviation, Rail, Real Estate, Asset Finance Salary Range: £40 - 45k inclusive of overtime Candidate Profile No. 2: Transactional Experience - assisting with the running and completion of financing transactions English law degree or legal conversion course graduate At least 5 years proven experience as a paralegal in a similar legal role, within the following areas: ship finance, Aviation, Rail, Real estate, Asset Finance Salary Range: £45 - 50k inclusive of overtime Knowledge and Skills for both profiles: Strong technical understanding of relevant legal concepts and practices under loan and security documentation and company and contract law as regards corporate authorities and registration of security Sound understanding of corporate structures/corporate approvals processes Excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills Proven legal analytical skills together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and judgement Strong IT skills Good command of both written and spoken English Right to live and work in the UK Whilst the firm are unable to offer a training contract, they are willing to consider candidates who are seeking training contracts within the next 1 - 2 years.
