Overview
My client, a unique retailer is looking for a Financial Controller to drive and develop the finance function. The business is rapidly becoming one of the biggest know retailers of designer goods within the UK. As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring that all monthly accounts are prepared to a strict deadline. You will also produce the 5 year plan and be involved in key decisions the business. Management of the day to day activities of the finance function and oversee the finance team Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reports Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports Analysis of inventory margins to maximise profitability Ensure all relevant journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and all other balance reconciliations are processed Assist the CFO in financial modelling and analysis, including budgets, forecasts and cash flow Preparation of year-end Financial Accounts and liaison with Auditors Preparation of monthly and quarterly statutory returns, including VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales Lists implementation of and maintenance of robust internal control systems across the organisation by identifying problems, improving practices and writing new procedures Candidates will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, the ability to adapt to a changing environment and a strong ability to deliver to deadlines. Candidates will be a Qualified ACCA/ACACIMA with previous experience in Retail.
