Financial Accountant, Central London Package: £50,000 - £55,000; 20% bonus; life, health, dental cover; international travel insurance The company This FTSE 250 listed company in central London is looking for a mid-tier qualified accountant to join their finance department of 25, working in a team of seven qualified accountants. The team are responsible for quarterly financial and statutory year end accounting for various entities within the Group. You will be responsible for managing a full range of activities including effective day-to-day financial operation, quarterly management reporting and annual statutory reporting, establishing and managing strong relationships with key stakeholders. The role is an excellent opportunity for a first move into industry and has scope beyond its basic responsibilities to develop and improve experience and skills over and above standard reporting duties. The business is vibrant and growing and there will be numerous opportunities to get involved in a variety of activities across the company’s business streams. The role Management of the day-to-day financial performance of entities, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with contractual cash-flow and operational obligations Establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders including investors, shareholders, lenders, service providers and asset managers Timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements including internal quarterly management reporting, annual statutory reporting (including UKGAAP and IFRS) and assist the treasury team with the senior lender reporting Management of a shared pool of processing and invoicing staff Ensuring entities remain up to date and compliant with relevant legislation including latest accounting standards, VAT, Hedge accounting, etc. Consolidation of Company clusters, including IFRS conversions for group reporting Your profile Qualified accountant, trained at a mid-tier Practice firm (ACA, ACCA) Experience of UKGAAP and IFRS with knowledge of latest accounting developments Strong time management skills and ability to deal with a number of activity streams simultaneously Ability to take ownership and responsibility of required duties Excellent communication abilities and people management skills to establish and maintain relationships with a number of project stakeholders Ability to work confidently and closely with both senior level staff and non-finance personnel Strong numeracy and analytical skills Computer literate with sound excel skills
