Location: Europe – Any Location Position Type: full-time, remote work Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced, self-driven software engineer to help us implement R based data analysis tools to analyze clinical trials data. We are also welcoming a Python specialist who wants to transfer her/his skills into R development for a long-term innovative R project. You will join an agile international team of scientists and software engineers that work on a new R based tool chain to analyze clinical trials data. You should be passionate about science & software. Applicants should have a flexible and learning mindset, be able to work in a fluid and dynamic environment and have a strong desire to pursue creative solutions to challenging problems. We have exciting projects that require careful design, have a large user community and are impactful. Key Responsibilities: Work with subject matter experts to create scientific data analysis tools Propose novel computational solutions and APIs to improve our tools Refactor and abstract our existing code base to deliver highly reusable, robust, scalable, and performant data analysis tools in R Design and implement various testing frameworks Skills: Minimum Education: BS, MS in Computer Science Experience: Software development experience in Python, R, Scala and experience shipping professional software Experience in graphics, object-oriented programming, design patterns, functional programming Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and D3 Experience with parallel computing on high performance clusters Cloud computing experience You are able to present your work, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences including customers, technical colleagues, and management.
