Overview

THE ROLE A fantastic opportunity for a FTSE 100 retailer has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join the team at head office in Central London. With excellent progression and development programmes, and full study support, it's a great business to join to help progress your career This will include: Preparation of accounts: Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systems Assist with the production of statutory accounts in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the legislation of the countries in which they operate Play a full part in providing relevant & timely financial information to the management team to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the company's strategy and objectives Budgets and forecasts: Assist with the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts and business plans Financial management & controls: Prepare bank payments and VAT returns Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies Analysis of results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions to management Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data Preparation of monthly processing of payroll and payments to employees, plus review of all staff expenses Monitoring compliance with the company's controls and procedures Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organisation Taxation: Assist with returns for Corporation tax, VAT and other relevant taxes, liaising with external experts where required. General: Carry out any further tasks for which your qualifications & experience are suited as directed by the Company Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential Use of Netsuite accounting system Desired Skills and Qualifications: A multi-tasker with the skills to work in a fast moving business Set priorities, with keen analytic, organisation and problem solving skills A desire to study towards a recognised accountancy qualification Experience of Netsuite would be desirable, but not essential as training can be given Benefits: £35-41k basic - dependant on experience Full study support for ACCA/CIMA/AAT 24 days annual leave, rising to 26 with 2 year service, plus bank holidays Pension scheme Life assurance Working from home and flexi-working Private medical insurance 10-30% staff discount across all brands Cycle to work scheme/season ticket loan
